Touchline records youth soccer matches from a fixed camera and lets the people a coach invites watch them. This page says what it stores, who can see it, and how long it is kept. It describes the website and the iOS and Android apps, which are the same software.
Your account. An email address, a display name, and a password stored only as a scrypt hash with a per-account salt. The plain password is never written down anywhere. There is no phone number, no address, no date of birth and no payment information, because Touchline does not take payments.
Match video. A wide view of the pitch from a camera on a mast, usually about six metres up and set back from the halfway line. It captures the field of play and whatever is behind it, which at most fields includes the touchline and the spectators along it.
Position data. While a match is running the camera works out where people are on the pitch so it can decide where to point the cropped view. This is stored as numbered boxes: an integer, a position, a size. The numbers are assigned by a detector and lost every time a player is briefly hidden, so the same person is many different numbers over a match. There is no face recognition, no biometric identifier of any kind, and nothing that links a number to a named person unless a coach types a name onto a clip themselves.
What you do in the app. Clips you mark, drawings you make on a frame, and reels you cut. These are stored against your account so they are still there on your other device.
Match facts. The score, the clock, goals and cards, and who entered them.
Nothing is public. A match is visible to people with a membership in one of the two teams playing it, which a coach or club administrator grants by invitation. Signing up with an email address on its own gives you access to nothing.
Ordinary members see matches, film, their own clips and their own reels. Coaches additionally run the clock and the score and see everyone's clips for their own team. Administrators manage teams, invitations and roles.
Your marks and your reels are yours. Another parent with access to the same match cannot see them.

The retention above is enforced by the storage bucket itself rather than by a job somebody has to remember to run.
On Google Cloud Platform, in the United States: Cloud Run for the service, Cloud Storage for video, and Firestore for accounts and match data. Google is a processor here and does not get the data for its own purposes. There are no other companies involved. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with an advertiser, a data broker, a scouting service or a recruiting platform.
A reel you export leaves Touchline when you send it. Where it goes after that is up to you.
Ask your club administrator, or write to the address below. Deletion is done within 30 days.
Touchline has no account for a child. Accounts belong to coaches, administrators and parents, and a coach grants access by invitation. Children appear in the video because the video is of their match.
The club running the camera decides who is filmed and who may watch, and is responsible for having whatever consent its league, school or association requires. If your child's image should not be recorded, that is a conversation with the club, and the club can stop it.
Everything travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as scrypt hashes. Sessions can be revoked, and revoking them invalidates every device at once. Cameras authenticate with their own tokens, which can publish to one match and can read nothing.
No system is perfect, and this one is run by a soccer club rather than by a security team. What is written above is what it does; it is not a promise that it cannot be broken into.
If this changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the date at the top changes and the app says so the next time you open it.
